Meat Production — Feedlot Fattening

Popularizing feedlot fattening technology to double carcass weight in 90–100 days — meeting growing domestic beef demand and creating new income streams for livestock farmers.

Project Profile

Scaling Profitable Beef Production

Feedlot fattening is a well-researched technique capable of practically doubling carcass weight in 90–100 days. Despite strong evidence from government research institutions, the technology had seen very little adoption at the farmer level. This project was designed to change that.

LDDB established a network of lead, small, and feeder farms for veal, beef, and mutton production — providing technical support, financial incentives, and market linkages to participating farmers nationwide.
